About the Sermon
Noonday Concert Series will be a performance of American composer Ben Johnston’s 10th String Quartet on Tuesday, May 5th at 12 noon.
This work is described as “An exceptionally rare work to hear performed that explored the world of ‘extended just intonation’ and features the tune ‘Londonderry Air’ hidden in the final movement, as well as a journey through the history of music, as it starts off like Medieval organum, goes through the Baroque, Classical, and ends like a showtune.”

Violin 2: Paul Mortilla
Viola: Felix Veser
Violoncello: Ben Rodriguez
Paul Mortilla is Trinity’s Choirmaster. Ben Rodriguez has been a guest cellist at Trinity and guest singer in Trinity Choir many times. He also performed in April’s Noonday Concert.
