A letter from: Collin Boothby Organist/Choirmaster Associate for Connections Ministries
Dear Trinity family,
Over the last four years it has been an honor to serve as your Organist/Choirmaster. In the last two years as the Associate for Connections Ministries it has been wonderful to further minister at Trinity. It is bittersweet to announce my resignation from Trinity; my last Sunday will be June 6.
In the fall, I will begin a Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in Sacred Music from the University of Southern California. This program will include both academic research as well as choral conducting and organ performance. I have also been offered a teaching assistant position on the department’s leadership team. In this role, I will be teaching undergraduate choral conducting, assisting one of the faculty members, and serving as choral librarian.
While I am excited about this new chapter, I am sad to be leaving behind such a fine and wonderfully diverse community. It was a joy to partner in ministry with The Rev. Hannah Atkins Romero over the last four years. Together we created a beautiful Compline and Concert series, hosted several signature music masses, and offered meaningful weekly liturgies. Trinity will always hold a special place in my heart and I will miss all of you Trinitarians so much.
I look forward to seeing many of you in-person at our worship services over the next few weeks. If you’d like to grab coffee or lunch before I move west in June, please email, call or text me!
Soli Deo Gloria,
Collin Boothby
Organist/Choirmaster
Associate for Connections Ministries
An outdoor reception will be held to honor him and give him a proper send-off on June 6th after the 10:30 Service. We would like to thank him for his service and wish him the very best in his future endeavors in Southern California.
Thank you, Collin!
