Trinity Episcopal Church has been working with Partners for Sacred Places, a national nonprofit that is dedicated to the active community use and sound stewardship of houses of worship in the United States, to discern future use and mission-aligned partnerships of its properties. As part of this process, Trinity hosted an Asset-Mapping event to solicit input and ideas about community needs and potential opportunities for partnership, and a Design Charrette to consider design concepts for reimagining spaces with partnership in mind. We are now asking for your help building consensus for next steps at the Property Mission Statement workshop on Saturday, October 17, 2026, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The purpose of the workshop is to help the congregation unite around how to use their buildings and land in mission-aligned ways for congregation and community benefit through a series of exercises in small groups that result in multiple first drafts of a shared Property Mission Statement. The property mission statement is a document that will guide how the property is leveraged to benefit the larger mission and vision of the church, and helps to ensure the legacy of the church is carried forward through new uses or initiatives.
