This Friday’s featured artist is Elaine Herder
Elaine is a recent graduate of the University of Houston Moores School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Applied Voice. Her years spent at Moores gave her many performing opportunities with the Houston Symphony, Victoria Symphony, Ars Lyrica, and the Moores Opera Center.
Since finishing school, Ms. Herder has had the pleasure of performing in various productions in the U.S. In June 2018, Elaine had the pleasure of performing the quirky role of “Moth” in Benjamin Britten’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” performed at the Miami Music Festival. South Florida Classical Review commended her for bringing “witty characterizations” to the role. Ms. Herder performs regularly throughout the Houston area singing both classically and as a jazz vocalist. Elaine has been praised by colleagues for her stage presence, professionalism, and energy. Her greatest passion is bringing a character to life, and truly connecting to the music with her colleagues.
