Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, October 6, from 4pm – 6 pm, Trinity Episcopal Church presents the Blessing of the Animals 2019 in the heart of Midtown!!

This annual event is a celebration for the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi – patron saint of animals. Come gather with us to celebrate all of God’s creatures, brag about our pets, and share the company of other animal lovers. Come – Sit – Stay!!

The afternoon will begin with a short worship service and blessings for our furry, feathered, and scaly guests of honor. The fun continues with free food and drink, kids’ activities, and a raffle featuring items for animals and humans! (The drawing is scheduled for 5:25 p.m.)

This year, Trinity Episcopal Church’s Blessing of the Animals 2019 includes a pet food drive for our special guest charity aniMeals on Wheels. As part of Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston’s Meals on Wheels program, aniMeals on Wheels began after concerned volunteers realized that Meals on Wheels seniors were sharing their limited food supply with their pets. To help their Meals on Wheels clients better care for themselves and their pets, aniMeals on Wheels delivers pet food to supplement the feeding of their hungry cats and dogs. Please bring donations of dry and canned cat and dog food.

Come share in the festivities in the heart of Midtown!

All pets must be properly restrained on a leash or in a carrier.Does Fluffy hate her kitty carrier? Does Fido not like other dogs?Is Goldie a fish?Worry not!Come join the party without Goldie, Fluffy, or Fido and we can bless your pet using a photo.
